Visiting Basquiat and Warhol

The other day while I was surfing on going.com I came across a free event I could not believe: an exhibition of the collaborative work of pop artists Basquiat and Warhol. I had seen downtown 81 and the movie Basquiat. In addition, I have seen both of their prints throughout new york city and in books of course. But to be in front of their actual original work, I was down for the challenge and the inspiration.

So Yesterday, I headed to Van De Weghe Fine Art Gallery at 521 W. 23rd St. in Manhattan. I stepped over the threshold, ignored the rude lady at the desk, and explored the huge and hip art of two of the coolest artists of the past century.
