My 33 year old sister has Lupus. Since she left her full time job and they took away her 2 year retirement disability, shes being trying to figure out how she was going to pay for her medicine. She has a chronic illness and she is stressed about prescriptions. My mom passed away in 2006. Her Kidney just could not take it anymore after some other stuff went wrong. But I know people whose been on dialysis for years. My mother had medicaid. I guess that insurance wasnt enough to keep her alive.
So today I celebrate the passing of the Health Care Reform Bill (Read details of it here so you can know whats its really about). I pray that people will no longer have to struggle just to live and that economic discrimination in the health world will end so that other peoples families will not have to suffer. WORD!
