So me and my bud Zmoney (I reintroduced yall to her earlier this week) decided to take a late night Bike ride through Brooklyn last night. (I got stopped by the police for riding on the street while heading to her house but that’s another story.) It was still 80 degrees at midnight, so we said what the heck.
Zakia is all about safety, so we took bike routes going there. I am so risky, So I convinced her to take the streets coming back. It worked. Zakia is all about safety, so she wore a helmet. I’m a G, so I wore my head. The difference between us works.
The ride was amazing. We took Bergen St. straight down to the “pier/port” and went through Park Slope, Carrol Gardens, and Red Hook. It was peaceful and fun. We talked while listening to Pandora on our cell phones. We then found a park and decided to play in it. Zakia got on a swing, I played in the sprinkler fountain for a little.
At the end I realized something: I’m happy for friends who know they have to go to work the next day but are not afraid to have a little fun until then. And I also realized that I never ever ever want to turn into a boring grown up, ever!!!!

I know it’s not cool to wear a helmet. But please, please consider getting one and wearing it at least some of the time. I lost a very good friend to a freak accident and do not want to lose you before we get to know each other!

You are convincing and have also scared the living day lights out of me. I promise I will wear a helmet, I promise.
